JUST IN: NDDC Probe: Police Bars Ex-MD Nunieh From Leaving Home

Emerging report indicates that armed police officers have laid siege on the Port Harcourt residence of former interim managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh.

“They (police officers) came here to my home since 4a.m., they have surrounded everywhere,” Ms Nunieh told newsmen, Thursday morning.

“I am inside my house, I can’t leave for Abuja where I am scheduled to appear today before the House of Representatives Investigative hearing on NDDC,” she added.

Recall that Mrs Nunieh had accused the Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio of gross corruption and sexual harrasment.

The NDDC is under the supervision of the ministry.
