BREAKING: Nigeria's COVID-19 Cases Tops 12,000 As NCDC Confirms 389 New Infections
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 389 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases to 12233.
NCDC in a tweet on Saturday also reported nine new COVID-19 deaths bringing the total number of fatalities to 342.
From the figures released, Lagos recorded 66 new cases, FCT-50, Delta-32, Oyo-31, Borno-26, Rivers-24, Edo-23, Ebonyi-23, Anambra-17, Gombe-17, Nasarawa-14, Imo-12, Kano-12, Sokoto-12, Jigawa-8, Ogun-7, Bauchi-5, Kebbi-2, Kaduna-2, Katsina-2, Ondo-2, Abia-1, Niger-1.
35 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have now recorded at least one confirmed case of the virus in Nigeria.
Nigeria currently has 12233 COVID-19 cases, 342 deaths while 3826 persons have been discharged.
Worldwide, the number of confirmed infections stands above 6.95 million with more than 400,000 deaths and over 3.4 million recoveries.
