Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday commiserated with the government and people of Zimbabwe over the death of their revolutionary and immediate past President, Robert Mugabe.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, the President sent his condolences to the family members, friends and associates of Mugabe who he said, lived most of his life in public service.
Buhari said posterity will always remember Mugabe’s sacrifices, especially in struggling for the political and economic emancipation of his people.
He prayed that the Almighty God will grant the soul of the former president rest and comfort his loved ones.
Mugabe who led Zimbabwe for over three decades, died in Singapore at the age of 95.
