Seun Onigbinde, Co-founder of BudgIT, a civil society organisation committed to demanding financial transparency from government, announced his resignation from the post of Technical Adviser to the Minister of state for Budget and National Planning, on Monday, following public criticisms that have greeted his appointment.
Onigbinde made his resignation public via his medium page.
There have been speculations as to why the BudgIT co-founder left the juicy govt job.

Yans recalls that Onigbinde had announced his appointment on Friday, September 13, a decision which sparked off wild reactions from Nigerians on social media.
It prompted the BudgIT boss to deactivate his Twitter page @seunonigbinde, an account which has however been restored by him.
A known critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, the tech expert was flayed for accepting to serve in an administration he once described as a failure.
