A civil society organisation has asked the Code of Conduct Bureau to investigate the assets and property holdings linked to the Director of Land Administration at the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Chijioke Nwankoeze. The group says the probe is necessary to verify the extent of wealth allegedly tied to the public officer.
The petition was submitted by Incorporated Trustees of Defendable Patriots for Nation Building and Transformation Initiative. Damilare Adenola signed and filed the document on behalf of the organisation.
In the request, Mr Adenola asked the CCB for a Certified True Copy of Mr Nwankoeze’s asset declaration forms. The period covered in the request runs from January 2025 to 30th August 2026. 
The letter was anchored on the Freedom of Information Act 2011. It stated: “On behalf of the aforementioned organisation, I write pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 2011 to request a Certified True Copy of the Assets Declaration form(s) of Mr Nwankoeze Williamson Chijioke, the Officer, covering the period from January 2025 to 30th August 2026, together with further details of other companies registered by the officer and his residential properties in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Anambra State.”
The petition listed several properties for verification. They include Sydney Farms Limited, RC No. 1143031, dated 17th September 2013, Plot 14/13 Ngozika Housing Estate in Awka, Anambra State, 42 hectares of land at Umuonyiba Village in Ufuma, Anambra State, houses at Apo Resettlement Zone E Extension in Abuja, and a house at No. 10 Festus Agwagu Close, Kado, Abuja.
More assets named are a house on Road 14, Ngozika Housing Estate, Awka, houses at Umuonyiba Village, Ufuma, a filling station opposite Ufuma Market in Anambra State, and land at FO1, Kubwa, Abuja, Plot No. 3364. The group also cited land files held under Law Alliance, MISC 130080, MISC 126756 and MISC 130066, and land files under Sydney Farms Limited, MISC 125642, MISC 125641 and MISC 125644.
According to Mr Adenola, the request is backed by Sections 1 and 4 of the Freedom of Information Act 2011. He also referenced Paragraph 3(c) of Part I of the Third Schedule to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, which permits citizens to seek access to asset declarations of public officers and empowers the bureau to make them available for inspection.
The organisation urged the bureau to release the information within seven days of receiving the application. It said the timeline is in line with Section 4 of the Freedom of Information Act 2011.
The petition also noted that the Office of the Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice was copied for record purposes.
The latest move comes amid separate allegations of certificate forgery against Mr Nwankoeze. Last year, the same non-profit organisation filed a suit claiming he forged a national diploma certificate from Kwara State Polytechnic, which he allegedly used to secure employment in the federal civil service.
