Governor Hope Uzodimma has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State to deepen grassroots mobilisation and work toward delivering a total victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. He said the party must translate government performance into votes across all wards and polling units.
The Governor was named Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council on Friday, August 21, 2026. He also serves as Director General of the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda Ambassadors. Speaking over the weekend at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre in Owerri, Uzodimma handed over new campaign buses to APC local government chairmen and other key officials.
He directed that the vehicles be deployed strictly for party activities and mobilisation. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku, the Governor said the buses are meant to strengthen the party’s reach ahead of the polls. 
Declaring that “APC is Imo State and Imo State is APC,” Uzodimma said the party will embark on massive sensitisation across the state. He noted that residents have already seen the impact of his administration, adding that government reforms under the Renewed Hope agenda have produced tangible results that give the party a solid platform to campaign for Tinubu.
The Governor called for stronger cooperation at the ward and local government levels. “I cannot deliver the President without you. We will come together and work together, so that together we will also win 100 per cent,” he said. He warned that “the failure of one person is the failure of the party,” and urged members to mobilise voters beyond partisan lines with the message: “Let us come out en masse. Let’s vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No sentiments.”
Uzodimma highlighted key achievements of his administration as campaign talking points. He pointed to improvements in healthcare, including the commissioning of a robotic medical system and the expansion of health insurance coverage in the state, as evidence of delivery under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Imo APC Chairman, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, commended the Governor for the gesture. He said 27 buses were provided for the 27 local government chairmen, with additional buses for zonal chairmen, the state woman leader, and the state youth leader. Onyedebelu said the fully branded vehicles will help take the party’s message to the grassroots and warned beneficiaries against removing the branding. “This is very important to us. It carries the message to the people and let them know that we are very serious to elect the next President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said. He also charged members to work for all APC candidates from the presidency to the National and State Assemblies.
APC National Vice Chairman, South-East, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, echoed the call for commitment. He urged members to use the buses effectively to mobilise voters and deliver victory. “The more our Governor has given to Imo State APC, we cannot tolerate any excuses,” he said, adding that the party must secure wins in the presidential, National Assembly, and State Assembly elections through unity and collective support for Governor Uzodimma.
