The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, at the Federal Government Girls’ College, Omu-Aran in Kwara State, has publicly refuted reports suggesting that the unit declared total support for Mr. Innocent Bola-Audu.
In a statement issued on behalf of the unit, the Chairman, Comrade Shagaya Nurudeen, described the reports circulating about the matter as false and misleading. He said the information did not reflect the position of the FGGC Omu-Aran chapter.
According to the statement, the claim was deliberately spread to create confusion among members. The unit said it has no record of any resolution or meeting where such support was adopted.
The association stressed that the FGGC Omu-Aran Unit remains fully committed to the recognised national leadership of ASCSN. It noted that loyalty to the central structure of the union has not changed.
The statement specifically reaffirmed allegiance to the National President, Comrade Shehu Muhammed, and the Secretary-General, Comrade Joshua Apebo. It added that both the executive and the entire membership of the unit stand firmly behind them.
The unit further said it continues to give its unwavering support and solidarity to the national leadership. This, it explained, is because the national officers are the ones providing direction for the association at this time.
In addition, the FGGC Omu-Aran Unit called on members of ASCSN across the country to remain united, law-abiding, and committed to the ideals of the association. It also urged everyone to allow due legal processes to run their course without distraction.
The clarification was contained in a statement signed by Comrade Shagaya Nurudeen in his capacity as Chairman of ASCSN, FGGC Omu-Aran Unit.
