Nollywood actress Judy Austin has publicly addressed recent allegations made by her former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, concerning the timeline of her relationship with actor Yul Edochie.
Obasi, in a podcast interview that has since gone viral, alleged that Judy developed an interest in Yul Edochie while she was still married to him. The claim quickly spread across social media platforms, triggering heated debates and widespread public reactions.
Responding through a video statement, Judy firmly dismissed the accusation. She described Obasi’s version of events as completely false and insisted there was no truth to the suggestion that she knew Yul during her previous marriage. 
She clarified that her marriage to Emmanuel Obasi ended in March 2013. According to her, she did not cross paths with Yul Edochie until several years after her union had already been dissolved.
When directly asked if she had met Yul while still married, Judy called the claim “the fattest lie ever told” about her online. She stressed that the timeline being circulated was fabricated.
Judy maintained that her first encounter with Yul Edochie happened years after her marriage was over. She challenged anyone pushing a different narrative, stating they were not being truthful.
Standing by her account, the actress said she was prepared to face any consequences if her statement was proven false. She insisted that all accusations linking her to Yul during her marriage were baseless.
She went further, stating that if she truly had met Yul while still married, then all the insults and curses directed at her should multiply. But if she only met him years later, those same words should return to the people making the claims.
The back-and-forth has kept the controversy trending online, with many social media users revisiting Obasi’s interview and weighing in on the dispute between the former couple.
In a follow-up post, Judy reiterated her stance: she had no connection with Yul Edochie during her previous marriage, which ended in 2013, and only met him many years later.
