Honourable Elder Friday Sanni Makama arrived in Egabada today to meet with residents. His visit came just one day after the community staged a protest over a major security concern.
The protest was triggered by the sudden arrival of a fully loaded trailer truck. It was carrying Fulani herdsmen along with their belongings, and that sparked fear among locals. 
Community members said the development caught them off guard. They took to the streets yesterday to voice their worries about safety, land use, and the strain on local resources.
Addressing the crowd, Hon. Makama listened to their grievances first. He acknowledged how unsettling the incident must have felt for families in Egabada.
He then assured them of his personal readiness to intervene. He stressed that protecting lives and property remains a top priority for him and the state government.
The honourable leader also promised the government’s full commitment to the situation. He said security agencies would be engaged to monitor the area and prevent further tension.
Overwhelmed by his quick response, the community thanked him on the spot. Many pleaded for his continued support, saying the issue is bigger than what Egabada can handle alone.
Makama left with a pledge to follow up and keep the community informed. For now, residents say they feel heard, and they’re waiting to see concrete action next.
