APC Releases Screening Schedule for 2027 Senate and House of Representatives Aspirants

The All Progressives Congress has released its timetable for screening aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections. The exercise will cover candidates seeking to contest for Senate and House of Representatives seats under the party’s platform.

The announcement came on Friday in Abuja through a statement from the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. He outlined the dates and venues for the process as the party moves closer to its primaries.

Senate aspirants will be screened first, with the exercise scheduled for May 9 and May 10, 2026. The two-day event is meant to assess the qualifications and readiness of those seeking to represent the party in the upper chamber.

The venue for the Senate screening is the Abuja Continental Hotel, previously known as Sheraton Hotel. Proceedings are set to begin at 10:00 a.m. each day to allow for a full review of all candidates.

House of Representatives aspirants will also undergo screening on the same dates. The party has designated Treasures Suites and Conferences in Abuja as the venue for their exercise.

Like the Senate screening, the House of Representatives sessions will start daily at 10:00 a.m. The parallel schedule is intended to keep the process efficient and avoid unnecessary delays.

The APC has asked all aspirants to arrive on time for their respective screenings. Punctuality is expected to ensure that the panels can work through the list without disruption.

Aspirants have also been advised to come with all required documents and credentials. The party said this will help make the verification process smooth and prevent issues that could disqualify candidates later.
