JUST IN: FCT Indigenes Barricade NASS Over Alleged Takeover Of Land By Army

Emerging report indicates that indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT under the aegis of a group, Coalition of Abuja Native Communities, on Tuesday barricaded all entry points into the National Assembly Complex.

yans recalls that the group had last week Thursday carried out a similar protest demanding that the army should relocate from their land in the Zuba axis of FCT.

During plenary session last Wednesday, lawmaker representing FCT, Senator Philip Aduda cited Order 43 and spoke to condemn the issue of the Nigerian military invading some parts of the FCT.

According to him: “I would like us to find out what is going on and why they are doing this. They need to provide an explanation or at least give us feedback on what they are doing.”

Senate President Bukola Saraki, reacting on the development, referered the Order to Senator Abu Kyari, Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence to look into the matter and report to the Senate next week.
